One of the last images in my head before I left my sister's house in Florida was Mom watching the birds and plants from the Florida room. Who would believe that there were tornado warnings sounding and a hurricane approaching.
You captured a very nice, reflective moment. It seems your Mom is at peace, in a very supportive environment (with good fuud too!), and surrounded by loving family, both near and afar.
Thank you for sharing....
Travel safely and have a wonderful visit with Lilu and family. (Did you finish the quilt?)

Florida is lovely, but I wouldn't want to live there because of the annual hurricanes.
A friend of mine moved from Kaneohe to Florida and, after a few years there, is selling her condo to return to Oahu.
Why doesn't your sister live in Hawaii?
$$$$ plus she is closer to her kids.
They would like to move back to Oahu tho- keep an eye out for a good deal on a house!
Liz ~ Diana and I have both been thinking of our moms lately. They both had reached 80 and each had their little quirks.
The times that they were in that very serene moment that you captured, is indeed what we all have in common with our moms.

I'm taking the quilt back to Portland to finish it there. Too hectic over here!
