I miss my sister
Florida is just too far away from Hawaii.
My sister and her husband left for home this afternoon.
I miss them already.
Even though I get my comfy bed back.
4/2/09 Update- bad weather has once again thwarted their journey. Unable to land in Pensacola, they ended up in Alabama without their luggage. Ayah for the kulolo, poi and Portuguese sausage! At least they are on the ground and neighbors Tim and Bobbie picked them up.
4/4/09 Update - the frozen food was still frozen when they picked it up 10 hours later. Good thing we packed it up in an insulated box from our local pharmacy!

We started the day with breakfast at Kalaheo Cafe with my Rotary buddy and my sister's classmate Rhoda (Daniel Libre's real aunty) . Then Steven joined us after school and we had a pho sendoff to balance the pho welcome just a few days ago when they arrived on Kauai. A couple hours later, they sent me a pic from the Lihue Airport... home of the "best bloody marys in Hawaii".
OK... I guess I better go night night in my comfy bed now.
I'll miss having coffee with them in the morning.

I am glad you have a close, loving relationship with your sister!
It was a fun visit- fishing, eating, yakking, visiting - wow... just like normal people!
I have to keep doing those things regularly even while she is not here.
It is a good thing that you miss your family! It would be horrible if you felt relief when they leave. So much for building a loving relationship!!!
Nothing wrong with making a weekly phone call to your Mom, too. I make a call home every Sunday and sometimes more often if I feel the need to talk with Mom.
Hi Kaylee, thanks for visiting!
