Leftovers

Man, after the dust settles, we are left with a fridge full of leftovers and some new favorites.
Bone-suckin' BBQ sauce. Our new favorite.
Sam's hot sauce. Tomorrow is spicy chicken night.
Margaret's salad. Mmmm.
Eggs and butter everywhere.
Leftover pasta and sauce.
Lots of breads and the good kind English muffins that I am too cheap to buy myself.
Snacks that go with French baguettes like olive tapenade, artichoke hearts and salami.

We DID have a very stimulating Rotary meeting tonight!

We had several guests- from Seattle, Oakland, and Kirkland. The conversations went on for another hour after the meeting was over!
Rick shares a flag from a previous guest and Barbara shares news about community gardens and a program to make use of extra fruits people have in their yards!

When Mom goes back home my fridge and freezer are loaded with good foods. Funny how people tend to gravitate to the kitchen and dining area.

Your new table sure got a got a great christening and test over the two week period!

I always thought Kauai was cooler than Oahu, because it is north of us. What is Waimea's heat due to?

Waimea is the Waianae of Kauai. Leeward side of the island- usually 12" of annual rainfall and #5 on the solar charts - therefore the solar and photovoltaic setups!

Nobody else is curious? Okay, I will be the nosey one, then . . . what brand of English muffin is the best?

They are not really English. Some American invented it.

One of the things I really enjoy when eating leftovers, besides the food (!), are the memories -- the conversations, time, circumstances, and the people. That always reminds me of some great times.

Do you sometimes reminisce when eating your leftovers? If you do, I hope they are great memories of family and friends!!!

I had leftover pasta and new baked chicken thighs with Henry's hot sauce and Bone-suckin' sauce glaze. Yum!
