objet d'art
Yesterday I was in the Poipu area and dropped by the Kiahuna Shopping Village to see if my shoes has come in (washable Rockports) and check out my son's latest creations at Poipu Fine Arts.
The shoes weren't in but the art was gorgeous!
His latest pitfired ceramic work incorporates gold leaf.

Very beautiful! I like that gold leaf orb. It must be pretty heavy, though, and might cost a pretty penny to mail.
Maria's husband does sandblasting/etching of glass ware. He sells them at an art gallery at Ward Warehouse and also at craft fairs. Of course, it is better to buy directly from him as he would get 100% profit.
The pieces are not heavy at all. They are closed form ceramics- hollow.
Just shaping the pieces takes a lot of skill.
Why don't you show us some of your son-in-law's work!?!
OK, here's the link to Grant's glass etchworks:

Hey, nice work!
Small suggestion - photograph the pieces against a plain, solid background for greater viewing pleasure (and temptation!).
Bad news- daughter's some kind of chemical count is dropping, meaning the embryo(s)are not not growing.
We shall see.
Liz- That's some mad skills da boy has.. awesome!
Hi DPK!
Wow! Beautiful work. Graceful curves combined with understated power.
Nice.
