Gimchi, Jetski, Signature update and Lilu's got chix!

It's a Red Letter Day- well, at least in color!

Cucumber gimchi, saba/miso/gochujang on hot rice, and a cool lifeguard truck with jetski.
Yesterday I attempted to make my first batch of cucumber gimchi. For anyone who is wondering, a pack of Japanese cucumbers from Costco makes just over one quart of gimchi. Steven tried it out tonight, adding a big spoonful of the spicy miso dish I made from brother Aaron's recipe- substituting the saba I caught at the landing for akule. Mmmm. Speaking of Aaron, I had dinner there tonight and couldn't help but notice the beautiful water safety truck with jetski in his yard. They'll use it for training in Hanalei tomorrow.

As most of you know, I am a football fan.

I enjoy attending University of Hawaii Warrior games and the company of Tsai-kos.

Former Warrior quarterback Colt Brennan and his buddy Pro-Bowl tight end Chris Cooley are my favorite NFL players. How do you like my new ExtremeSkins signature block?
I'm hoping Colt moves up to backup QB for the Washington Redskins this year and Chris Cooley scores some touchdowns. HAIL!

Lilu is learning how to pick things up with her feet and to throw and kick a ball. Her family has some new baby chicks and will soon be enjoying fresh eggs - that is- if they are all hens! Trivia- my uncle's family established a successful business as chicken sexers in the South.

No need for an iron-stomach. Just turn down the heat when making foods.

Send some gimchi my way!!! Yum!!!!!
