Becoming more Human
Hawaii, like other places, is cutting back on funds for education. Guess which programs are going to be cut. Guess what standards the kids are going to be measured by.
I say, we need to re-think education and gear it to be USEFUL to our children and the world they will live in.

The key to education is RELEVANCE!
It is nice to know a lot of the academic facts but teach it using real world examples. It is important to know-how as much as it is to know-that.
Why do those in power have such a difficult time understanding this? That is how we ended up with Every Child Left Behind.
