Settling In

When the new baby comes home, the household must adjust. In this case, the household includes Flower and Itty Bitty Kitty.

Flower, the maternally-minded kitty, came up at once to greet Liliana and welcome her home.

Bitty, on the other hand, is adjusting slower-
Well, actually, having been the previous baby in the family, she is pretty ticked off.

The situation resolved in a win-win today. Bitty just climbed into the cat cave behind Michele and Flower gave her a good round of "mommy licks" to make her feel better.

Speaking of feeling better, nothing like a good herbal bath after having a baby!

And nothing like some home- made monkey bread an a cup of coffee to start the day.

Jason built a beautiful monkey bread breakfast - cinnamon, sugar, butter and quartered dinner roll dough all baked together for a pull-apart treat!

We made short work of the monkey bread. I'm going to remember to make this back home.

This afternoon we got a visit and a checkup from Lorell, one of the midwives that attended Liliana's birth.

She examined mom and baby and brought her own sling scale. Everyone checked out fine!

What habits do we aquire in the womb?
I think Michie has some ultrasound images of Liliana in this very same position.
