Before the Fast
A little miscellaneous stuff before the Fast.
My 15th birthday. I had a cake which was shared with my "little" sister Norma, girlfriends Jane and Marilyn ("Stretch") and another teacher- Carol Hawkinson. We danced the "swim" in those days.
My sister has always been athletic and still is. Here she is winning a medal in her first skating race at 5 years old.
In the land of Lilu, irises are poking through the ground. Lilu is learning how to feed herself poi. She's getting ready to be a real Hawaiian girl soon!

So that is an iris. Never saw one before.
Best wishes as you embark on your fast. I don't think I have the stamina to go without food and drink.
Is there a 10 year gap between you and your sister? I assume this is the one now living in Florida.
These are short like crocus. Many kinds of irises- and all beautiful!
I can only go without food at this time. Funny- it's hard to go without lunch at other times!
9+ a few months gap. Yup- Florida!
