A Really Happy Valentine
Saturday was a very full day.
The cats needed their last booster shots.
Cats are psychic. They know when you want to take them to the vet and disappear about 5 minutes before it is time to put them in their carriers. Fortunately, my sons know where to look and how to catch them.
I dropped the cats off at home after the vet visit and dashed over to the Waimea UCC to honor and remember Kay Suga who passed away suddenly last week. She is one of the sweetest people I know. And the Gardener knows when the fruit is perfectly ripe and ready to pick. I will miss singing with her in the Easter Cantata this year.
Later in the afternoon, my youngest sons (who wished me Happy Valentines Day today!) and I went to try the Mexican food at Mariachi's Restaurant in Lihue.
Yum. It was good!
We may have our island-wide Naw-Ruz dinner there this year on March 20 (to break the Fast).
After dinner, the boys split to do different things with their friends and I set up another small saltwater aquarium (20 gal former Betta tank) for the tomato clownfish who was getting harassed in the other tank. If he does well, I may try another cleaner shrimp in the new tank.

I drove to Kekaha to pick up some sand and this beautiful sight enhanced my drive home.
Lucky we live Kauai!

Looks like you had a nice Valentine's Day lunch with your boys. Yum -- Tex-Mex!
I went to Tex-Mex last night for dinner at the Puerto Vallarta. Yummy Tsai-ko sized portions. Whoo-hoo!!! Best part was their special $3 off some of their most popular dishes. I had the taco salad.
hey, where's your pic of the aquarium?
Haha, gigi. I thought about shooting the aquarium but it was after 1am and I went to bed. I'll add a pic today.
Where is the fish?
wafan- the tank needs to be seasoned a bit before adding fish.
Okay. I remember doing that now. I used to have a fresh water tank a thousand years ago. HA!
So are you doing a simple seasoning of a bit of salt and freshly ground black pepper?
Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Yeah, yeah. I know. You are rolling your eyes. HA!
