Passions, Hobbies and Gadgets
I'm sure all of us have at least one of the above. Sometimes they seem to be conflicting but not always.
Here are a few of mine (in no particular order)- please share some of yours!
1. Developing a spiritual existence in a material world.
2. Nurturing and serving an increasingly spiritual, just and peaceful world society.
3. Enjoying athletics as a spectator sport.
4. Enjoying a good laugh with friends and strangers - especially not at anyone's expense.
5. Blogging (latest iteration of sharing information and discoveries) and learning how to use the associated tools.
6. Raising fish.
7. Tasting interesting foods from different cultures.
8. Vermiculture.
9. Singing and listening to music.
10. Learning about new things all the time.
11. Roombas and photovoltaics.
12. Encouraging (young) people to strive for excellence.
13. Dreams and movies.

Of what you listed, I share #3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 13.
Anything else???
Well, I don't like to sing, but I do love operas and musicals and try to attend as many as I can. The next one will be Gypsy later this month.
I also like art shows and exhibits. Plan to see Doris Duke's Shangri La soon.
I also love to read and I buy books from Borders on a regular basis.
I also like to write and publish books.
and write articles for the newspaper.
Cool!
How about writing restaurant reviews?
Any gadgets?
You know me, I like anything that makes housework easier. I am such a lazy bum.
Bought a Roomba 550 to vacuum the floor.
Today, David bought a Swiffer Sweeper at Target. Haven't tried it yet, but the commercials say it's better than sweeping and easier to maneuver than a vacuum canister. Hope it can fit in the area behind the toilets and other areas where the Roomba cannot reach.
As for restaurant reviews, they are fun to write -- but the pics say it all. One pic is worth a thousand words.
So we can both add Photography to our lists too!
Lets see . . .
I collect Teddy Bears, weight, CD's and DVD's of the music and movies I like, and just stuff. I have a two car garage but park outside. HA!
Teddy bears? Bully!
I never would have guessed. You might like my Beanie Babies then ;-)
Yes. Teddy Bears. There are a few things a lot of people do not know about me! Kind of private, you know?
When my students learn that I collect Ted's the guys tend to look at me in disbelief and the girls want to know how many and what kinds. Later on when the girls leave I usually have a couple of boys come up to tell me about their favorite Teddy Bear.
By the way, I have named each of my Teddy Bears. I will give you their name . . . TED! Since I am so bad with names I figured that if I just called them the same name then none of them would feel slighted. Kind of like George Foreman. HA!
Beanie Babies? Some are really cool!
