Measuring Life
With the onset of aging and physical changes, one has an opportunity to realize that life can be measured.
Do I have retirement savings? What is my blood sugar count? How many carbs am I eating? How heavy am I and what is my BMI?
Well, for me, those measurements are coming a little late in life and are rather distracting because at 59, I am edging closer to the NEXT form of existence and am primarily concerned with preparation for that.
Life's checklist:
How's my truthfulness level?
How am I working to serve humanity?
Am I more patient?
Am I able to love unconditionally?
Have I recognized and obeyed the Divine Physician?
Can I take a punch without wanting to hit back?
If I leave this world today, is it a better place because of something I have contributed?
Have I shared the Healing Message of Baha'u'llah with every receptive soul I chance to meet?
Frankly, those are the things that mean more to my existence... and I pray I'll measure up.
+++++
Speaking of measuring up, here is my favorite Aunt Tae (Mom's youngest sister) with her eldest daughter Sue, her hubby Sato and their daughter Amanda Tae. They are enjoying the welcome home party for Jeanine Mason, winner of So You Think You Can Dance . Amanda Tae has two more students working their way through the auditions for the next SYTYCD show. GOOD LUCK!

I have found that Life is as sweet as you can make it. Focus on the goodness in your life; there's plenty to appreciate.
AMEN!
