Mr. Aloha
My eldest son Aaron is known as "Mr. Aloha" down at the beach. Yesterday he used his day off to prepare lunch for his fellow ocean safety officers.
The steaks came from Costco- thanks to a gift card from an appreciative citizen. The tako was caught by Aaron just before he started cooking. And the opihi- I'm not sure who caught those. Son Steven joined us at the beach but Byron was preparing for his Hula show back in Waimea.
Besides steak, opihi and tako, there was poke, corn on the cob and rice. Aaron took a plate over to some visitors who were regular returnees to Poipu.

While the cooking and eating was going on, life at the beach continued. A crowd gathered on the sand around a couple who had lost a wedding ring and Dutch and his metal detector who found it. Steven and Aaron clown around for my "who's taller" shot while Paul Tokioka (sans guitar) enjoys the kaukau. Then Daniel O'Flaherty shares his shark story from earlier in the day. He was stand up paddling near Mahaulepu when a shark gave his board a bump.
Here's to Aaron (with Alison and Jamison) - Mr. Aloha!
